BARBARA F. WILLIS, 70

Barbara F. Willis, 70, of Marion, Ill., passed away at 1:15 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at her home.

Barbara was born March 28, 1940, in Poweshiek County, to Paul and Fern (Johnston) Graham.

She married Warren K. Willis on Dec. 28, 1977, in Brooklyn. He survives, in Marion, Ill.

She retired from Pepsi Cola of Marion after six years of employment. She formerly worked for the University of Iowa and American College Testing Program. She was an active member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion and was also a member of Franklin County Country Club and FCCC Ladies Golf Association.

Barbara enjoyed all types of handiwork hobbies and was well known for the many afghans she crocheted for family, friends and newborns. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Survivors include her husband, Warren K. Willis of Marion; son, Jeffrey W. Willis of St. Petersburg Fla.; daughter, Michelle A. Fowler of Phoenix, Ariz.; grandchild, Joseph A. Fowler of Grand Junction, Colo.; brother, John Graham and wife, Connie, of Peachtree City, Ga.; brother, Brownlie Graham and wife, Marilyn, of Rochester, N.Y.; brother, Lawrence Ford and wife, Audra, of Roland; sister, Glynace Ford Kloock and husband, Don, of Omaha, Neb.; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Harold Ford; and one son, Bradley H. Fowler.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 28, in Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Marion, with the Rev. Tim Ozment officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date in IOOF Cemetery in Brooklyn.

Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Envelopes will be available and accepted at Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home, 800 N. Market St., Marion, IL 62959.
