FAITH SANTORO

Faith Santoro, 80, of Brooklyn, died early Wednesday, June 3 in Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.

Graveside funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 6 in the Brooklyn Cemetery. Rev. James B. Rea, Pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, officiated.

The soloist was Winnifred C.S. Rea and the selections were "Because He Lives" and "The Lord's Prayer." Flower Attendants were Alyce Cleereman and Ione French. Honorary casket-bearers were Odina Hladky, Frank Hladlky, Agnes Nervig, Dorothy Carpenter, Ruth Hickerson, and Jerry Dale.

A memorial fund has been established and may be left with the Nevenhoven Funeral Home.

Faith Mason Santoro, daughter of Eugene (Dan) I. Mason and Rae Lynch Mason, was born Jan. 21, 1912, in Grinnell.

Faith received her education in Grinnell schools and graduated from Grinnell College in 1933. She was an economist for the Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. before returning to the Brooklyn area in 1946. Since then she has owned and managed her farms.

Faith was united in marriage to Charles Santoro in 1944 and their marriage was later dissolved.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn.

Surviving are her daughter, Frances Hamilton, and two grandsons, Michael and John of St. Louis, Mo. Faith was preceded in death by her parents.
