The deceased was married to Elizabeth Kearns April 21, 1853 and to them were born five children, three sons and two daughters, four of whom are still living. One son died March 8, 1861 at the age of three years.

Mr. Wineman retired from business about 12 years ago and has made his home in Grinnell since that time.

He made profession of his faith in Christ and united with the church about 50 years ago and has lived a consistent Christian life.

Mr. Wineman was a kind neighbor and a faithful friend. Those who had intimate acquaintance with him admired and loved him and his kindly manners and familiar figure will be missed by his many relatives and friends. His life closed as it had been lived, quietly and at peace with God and man.
