KAISAND RITES HELD IN TEXAS

J.C. "Jake" Kaisand, 88, of Gonzales, Tex., died Sunday, June 27, in Gonzales.

Funeral services for J.C. Kaisand were held on Tuesday, June 29, in Gonzales. Among those attending were Mrs. Ralph Rutledge, of Nebraska City, Mr. and Mrs. Don Hasselbrink and Gus Kaisand of Grinnell, and Mrs. Merle Sparks of Newton.

He was born near Montezuma and raised on a farm near Grinnell. He has spent the last 16 years in Gonzales.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Willis Crews of Gonzales; a granddaughter, Mrs. Sam McCracken of Dallas, Tex.; one brother, Charles Kaisand of Grinnell; two sisters, Lela Elizabeth Kaisand of Grinnell and Mrs. Ralph Lelea Rutledge of Nebraska City, Neb.; three great-granddaughters and a number of nieces and nephews.
