MRS. CHARLES A. BENSON

Death ended a long illness when Mrs. Charles A. Benson passed away shortly after midnight last Friday in the hospital at Rochester, Minn., where she had been taken about three weeks previous to take radium treatment for cancer.

Mae Timble (May Jessie Timbrell), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John William Timble (Timbrell), was born in New Sharon but moved to Grinnell with her parents when a little girl and grew to womanhood here. She graduated from Grinnell high school and was married to Mr. Benson about ten years ago.

Funeral services were held from the home at 621 Main street yesterday afternoon, Rev. Joseph Sopher conducting the services. The Grinnell lodge of Rebekahs, of which Mrs. Benson was an active member, conducted the services at the grave.

Mrs. Benson was a devoted wife and mother, a woman of many womanly qualities, and wide circle of friends sincerely mourn her passing from the life in which she has been so richly loved.
