Julius Ray Tisdale, 101, Zearing, died Friday, Sept. 11, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center of a heart ailment.
Services were held Monday, Sept. 14, at the Zearing Christian Church with burial in Lincoln Township Cemetery. Memorials have been designated for the Zearing Christian Church or the Zearing Library Fund.
A retired teacher and administrator, Mr. Tisdale had lived in Zearing all his life. He was a United States Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the Pacific Masonic Lodge and the American Legion.
He is survived by a daughter Jeanette Tisdale, Grinnell.
