FERN RASH

Fern Rash, 89, of the Mayflower Health Care Center died Tuesday, March 7, of Alzheimer's disease.

Funeral services will be conducted next week in California. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Cypress, Calif.

The daughter of Andrew J. and Laura B. Horn, she was born Oct. 20, 1905, in Moulton. She was a graduate of Moulton High School and Capital City Commercial College in Des Moines.

She was married to John Rash Feb. 11, 1932. They lived in Des Moines for over 40 years where Mr. Rash was a barber and real estate salesman and Mrs. Rash was employed in secretarial, insurance and real estate work.

They moved to California in the 1970s, retiring to Seal Beach. Mrs. Rash was a member of the Leisure World Baptist Church.

Following her husband's death in 1992, she became ill with Alzheimer's disease. She moved to the Mayflower Health Care Center in 1993.

She was preceded in death by her husband and six brothers and sisters.

A niece, Jeanette Tisdale, lives in Grinnell.
