Neola C. Miller, daughter of Isaac and Ida T. Saunders, was born July 24, 1886 at Forest Home and died Dec. 13, at the Mahaska hospital in Oskaloosa at the age of 76 years.

She was married to Linn O. Miller in 1905 and to this union two daughters were born. Her early life was spent in the Forest Home community and after her marriage she moved to a farm north of New Sharon, known as the Robinson farm. In 1946 they moved to their present home in New Sharon. She was a member of the Forest Home Christian church.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her daughters: Grace (Mrs. Emory Grosenbach), and Mabel (Mrs. Maurice Hull), both of whom live on farms north of New Sharon; three grandchildren: Virginia Elaine (Mrs. Jack Klinker of Albia); Nelda Maureen, and Seaman Richard Miller Grosenbach, Pensacola, Fla.; an aunt, Mrs. Lillie Saunders, Montezuma, several cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held at the New Sharon Methodist church at 2 p.m. Dec. 15, with the Rev. Mr. Wade Dillavou and the Rev. Mr. Charles Rinkle officiating. Homer McDowell sang "Take My Hand, Precious Lord," and "Crossing the Bar." The organist was May McVay.

Interment was in the Friends cemetery, New Sharon. Casketbearers were Harry Van Gorp, Cliff Knowler, Harold Clark, Max Whitehead, Jim Bowers and Marvin Miller. Caring for the flowers were Mrs. Seth Canine, Mrs. Henry Klyn, Mrs. Harry Van Gorp, Mrs. Mabel McGriff, and Mrs. Will McGriff.
