ON SAURDAY FOR
HOLLIS B. YOUNG

Funeral services for Hollis B. Young, 52, former Grinnell area resident who died Apr. 27th at Des Moines following a brief illness, were held Saturday afternoon at Chariton.

Officiating was the Elder S.L. Pettus of Macon, Mo. Music was provided Mr. and Mrs. Paul Wilson, Mrs. Elsie Neighbors, Don Neighbors and Clair Wilson.

Pallbearers were Russell Mikesell, Robert Sharp, Bates Stepp, Ray Wilson, Warren Wallace and Rodney Peterson. Burial was in Rock Creek cemetery near Grinnell.

The son of Lee Niteus and Emma Koger Young, he was born Aug. 29th, 1907 in Rock Creek township, Jasper county. On June 2nd, 1956, he was united in marriage with Ruth Wright of Grinnell at Kansas City, Kan. For the past 12 years they had lived near Chariton where he was associated with the Miller Implement Co. as a salesman of farm machinery.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth; two daughters, Evelyn of Chariton and Mrs. William (Bette) Sample of Panama City, Fla.; his father, L.N. Young and brother, Olaf, both of the Rock Creek area; and one grandson, Mike Sample.

He was preceded in death by his mother, his brother, Burl a few years ago and a twin brother in infancy.
