SAM K. REDMAN
PASSES AWAY IN
LONG BEACH, CAL.

We note from the Montezuma Republican the death of Sam K. Redman at his home in Long Beach, Calif. Mr. Redman was a former student in Grinnell college. During the period from 1877 to 1880 he and his brother, Frank, were well known here. He also taught school for a number of years in the neighborhood of Old Dresden. The Herald has printed several old time letters from Mr. Redman in the last few years. He had much early experience in this county and was an interesting writer. His death occurred a week ago at the age of 78 at the home of his daughter in Long Beach.
