LOIS C. LYNN

Lois C. Lynn, 81, Hartwick, died Tuesday, May 19, at the Marengo Memorial Hospital.

She was the daughter of Ora C. and Margaret E. Winslow Leimberer and was born on July 13, 1905 at her parents' farm home near Hartwick.

She attended rural school and later graduated with the class of 1924 from Belle Plaine High School. She received her normal training from the Belle Plaine High School and later taught in rural school.

On March 3, 1940 she was married to Lawrence Lynn at her parents' home. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn made their home in the Hartwick area.

She was a member of the Hartwick Congregational Church and the Women's Fellowship of the church. She had also served as treasurer of the Winslow Cemetery Association for over 40 years and she had been a trustee of the Winslow Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.

She is survived by her husband, Lawrence Lynn of Hartwick; her son and daughter-in-law, Marvin and Shirlee Lynn of Hartwick; and three grandchildren, John, Paul and Lisa Lynn, all of Hartwick. She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Jeffrey Scott Lynn and three brothers, Ray, Milo, and Earl Leimberer.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 22, at the Hartwick Congregational Church with the Rev. Ron Kooyman, pastor of the church, the Rev. Clyde Leimberer, pastor of the CMA Church of Huron, S.D., and the Rev. Walter A. Martin of Victor, officiating. Organist was Mrs. Jane Alexander. Pallbearers were Robert and Jerry Henning of Hartwick, Richard Steinke and Dick Steinke, both of Brooklyn, Erv Walters and Everett Williamson, both of Hartwick. Honorary bearers were Fred Bees, Richard Martens, and Ray Maschmann of Hartwick and Fred Yount of Brooklyn. Flower bearers were Wallace and Betty Roth and Ralph and Clovis Smith, all of Hartwick. Burial was in the Winslow Cemetery near Hartwick with the McAninch-Fremming Funeral Home of Victor in charge of arrangements.
