RITES HELD FOR MRS. WILLERT

Gladys Bader Willert, 73, of Huxley, a native of Grinnell, died of cancer Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Madrid Home for the Aging.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley, with the Rev. Merlin K. Norris officiating. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery, Grinnell.

She was born on Nov. 14, 1914, in Grinnell. She graduated from Grinnell High School in 1934 and from Grinnell College in 1938. She taught at Auburn, then worked as office manager of the physical plant at Iowa State University.

She was a member of the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church, the Ames B.P.W. which served as president, the Story County Council on Aging, and the Huxley Senior Citizens.

She was married to Walter W. Willert on Aug. 25, 1962. Mr. Willert died in 1962.

Surviving are two brothers, Raymond Bader of Ocala, Fla., and Lester Bader of Littleton, Colo., and ne sister, Madeleine Slatter of Palo Alto, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Nina Hoskins Bader, and a brother, David.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Fjeldberg Lutheran Church in Huxley.
