HOYT, DIED THURSDAY

Mrs. Maud Rogers Hoag, mother of Mrs. W.B. Hoyt, passed away in a local hospital Thursday at 9:50 p.m., aged 84 years, 5 months and 24 days. She had made her home with her daughter for the past year and four months, coming here from Mason City. She was the widow of Dr. H.M. Hoag. Dr. Hoag practiced medicine in Garner until August of 1913 before moving to Mason City where he continued his practice until 1930.

Mrs. Hoyt is the only surviving child. There are also two grandchildren, Mary Hoyt of Pasadena, Calif., and Mrs. Margaret Hagerman of Menlo Park, Calif.

Mrs. Hoag was a member of Chapter DZ, P.E.O., and of the Congregational church in Mason City.

Funeral services were held Saturday in Mason City in charge of Rev. Peter Jansen. Burial was in Concord cemetery in Garner.
