MRS. JENNIE BARR HOUGHTON

Mrs. Jennie Barr Houghton, who was born at Coshocton, Ohio, April 26, 1853, died at the home of her son, Bert Desch of Omaha, Neb., March 23, 1914, aged 60 years, 10 months, and 25 days. Mrs. Houghton was a twin sister of John Barr of this city, and was for a time a resident of Grinnell. At that time she was a member of the Methodist Church of this city. She was twice married, and by her first marriage two sons were born, both of whom survive her, Bert Desch of Omaha, and John Desch of Central City, Neb. The body of the deceased was brought to Grinnell Tuesday night and the funeral services were held in the home of her brother, John Barr, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Frank H. Webster, pastor of the Baptist Church, officiating. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.
