EVA COLEMAN SERVICES HELD

Eva C. Coleman, 96, of Brooklyn, formerly of Victor, died Monday, Feb. 16, at the Brookhaven Nursing Home in Brooklyn.

The Funeral Mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Victor, with the Rev. Eugene Hoening officiating. Music was provided by Kathy Lynch, organist, and the St. Bridget's Choir. Pallbearers were Julian Boudonck, Orrin Fetzer, Ralph Keller, Robert Michalek, Everett Refer and Donald Rohrer. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery, Victor, with the McAninch-Fremming Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

The daughter of Robert and Clara Barber Woodle, she was born on Nov. 25, 1890, at Brooklyn. She attended Brooklyn area schools.

On Aug. 24, 1908, she was married to Henry Coleman at St. Bridget's Church in Victor. The couple farmed in the Victor area. From 1950 to 1961, Mrs. Coleman worked as a cook at St. John's Catholic School and the Victor Public School.

She was a member of St. Bridget's and the church's Altar and Rosary Society. She was an honorary member of the Victor American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors include three daughters, Grace Mowry of Brooklyn, Mildred Wilson of Belle Plaine and Della Welsh of Grinnell; 12 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Raymond and Henry Coleman; one sister and six brothers.
