Last Rites Held
For Mrs. BradleyPriscilla Bernard Bradley, whose funeral was held Sunday afternoon, was born in Scott county, Iowa, Aug. 18, 1862, and moved with her parents to Poweshiek county when a young woman. In 1881 she was united in marriage with Sherman Bernard and to this union five children were born, four of whom remain to mourn her passing: Blanche Porter of Storm Lake, Hazel Booknau of Malcom, Frank Bernard of Van Nuys, Calif., and James Bernard of Los Angeles, Calif.
Mr. Bernard died May 7, 1913. In 1924 she married Harvey E. Bradley of San Francisco and spent the next eight years of her life in that city. But her health failing, she returned to Malcom in 1932 and had lived here since. She was a member of the Presbyterian church and the Order of Eastern Stars.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral services for Mrs. Bradley included Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bernard, Mrs. Will Bernard and Charles Swaney and family of Montezuma; Warder Stoaks, Mrs. Ruth Turney and Lloyd Stoaks of Grinnell; Mr. and Mrs. Worth Porter and son Wayne of Storm Lake, and Frank Bernard, who arrived Sunday morning from Van Nuys, Calif., called by the passing of his mother.
Mr. and Mrs. Glen Porter and family of Storm Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bartling, Mr. Francis Ford and daughter Waunita, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Grooms and Mrs. Mary Ewart of Grinnell; Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Copeland and Mrs. J.S. Copeland of Ewart; Mr. and Mrs. Ross Bowers and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McFarlin of Montezuma.
