LYONS, Mrs. Mary Ann Hellyer, was b. Mar. 18, 1849, in Noble Co. O., youngest of a family of 13 children of Elijah and Sarah (Lyle) Hellyer. In Oct. 1858 they came to Henry Co. Ill., later coming to Iowa, settling in Des Moines Co. in 1861, and in 1865 came to Grinnell. She m. Albert R. Lyons Sept. 4, 1865. The two sons are Albert E. (Bert) at home, and Walter L. of Seattle, Wash., his wife, Minnie, deceased. One grandson, Walter A. Lyons, also of Seattle, and 2 great grandsons, Donald and the twins, Billy and Bobby. Albert R. Lyons d. at Grinnell Dec. 22, 1871.
