Mrs. Catherine Bissett, pioneer resident of Poweshiek county, died at her home here on Sunday, of cancer. She was 87 years of age. Since 1867 she has made her home near Montezuma, and consequently was known to everybody here. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the home of her son, conducted by Rev. George Blagg. Burial was at Deep River cemetery.
