Small Son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tinkle Dies

A very sad death occurred last week when the five-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tinkle died after a few day’s illness.

Gerald Eugene, son of Walter and Beulah May Tinkle, was born April 3, 1930, and passed away Tuesday evening, May 21, at the hospital in Grinnell.

He had only been ill a few days and it was a great shock to the parents and they have they sympathy of their many friends. He leaves his father and mother and one brother to mourn his death.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the home in north Brooklyn, in charge of Rev. E. W. F. Holler, pastor of the Presbyterian church. They were attended by many of the friends of the family and neighbors.

The pallbearers were neighbor boys, Vernon Williamson, Bobby Finley, Gerald Motherspau and Reno Anderson.

Interment was in the Brooklyn I.O.O.F. cemetery.
