ROSELLA G. HENRY

Rosella G. Henry, 78, of Brooklyn, died Feb. 17 in her home.

The Mass of Christian Burial was held Feb. 19 in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Brooklyn with the Pastor, Rev. Joe Rogers officiating.

Organist was Mrs. Anita Ormiston. Flower attendants were Mrs. Joyce VanRenterghem and Mrs. Doris Bunn. Casket bearers were Michael Henry, Thomas Henry, Patrick Henry, Jodie Henry, Julie Kasal, and Dale Kasal. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn.

A scripture service was held in the Nevenhoven Funeral Home Tuesday evening.

Rosella Genevieve Reitzler Henry, daughter of Joseph J. and Kate Kline Reitzler, was born on a farm south of Brooklyn, Sept. 11, 1913. She received her education in a country school and St. John's of Victor.

On Feb. 18, 1939, she was united in marriage to George L. Henry in St. Patrick's Church in Brooklyn, They farmed many years south of Brooklyn and moved into their present home in September of 1991.

Mrs. Henry was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

Surviving are husband, George; one son and his wife, John and Billie Jo Henry of rural Deep River; two brothers, Marvin Reitzler of Newton, Edward Reitzler of North English; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Varnum of Ames and Mrs. Catherine Nowotny of Iowa City; five grandchildren; and sixteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Henry was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and one brother.
