LETHA RARIDON

Letha Raridon, 87, of Oak Ridge, Tenn., formerly of Grinnell, died Tuesday, July 21, after a short illness.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 16, in Montgomery Hall of the Mayflower here.

She was born Aug. 27, 1910, in Newton to Sherman Edward and Tranna Mae Young Woods. She was a graduate of Newton High School and attended Iowa State College. She spent most of her life in Kellogg and Grinnell before moving to Oak Ridge in 1991 to be near her son, Richard.

Surviving are her son; one brother,Jay Woods of Newton; one daughter, Jeanene Upton of Grand Saline, Texas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
