SERVICES HELD

Eva Brannian, 86, of Brooklyn died Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.

Funeral services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Nevenhoven Funeral Home in Brooklyn, with the Rev. Raymond D. Moore of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Organist was Nina Bartachek, and pallbearers were Rollin Connell, Keith Brannian, Kenneth Brannian, Donald Brannian, G.J. Manatt and Rollin Harder. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society and St. Francis Manor.

The daughter of Walter and Clara Willett Fraser, she was born Sept. 9, 1898, in Poweshiek County. She attended Brooklyn schools. On June 14, 1920, she was married to Cecil Brannian in Brooklyn. Mrs. Brannian was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Scroggs of Des Moines and Rhea Light of Grinnell; one sister, Gladys Laizure of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one grandson; and three sisters, Dorothy, who died in infancy, Florence Ostrom and Virginia Fraser.
