HOLD RITES FOR MR. MCMURRAY

Arthur R. McMurray, Sr., a native of Grinnell, died Tuesday, March 25, in an Albuquerque, N.M., hospital. He was 90.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. March 27 at the Fern Chapel of the Strong-Thorne Funeral Home in Albuquerque, with the Rev. Francis A. Rath officiating. Cremation was at Fairview Park Creamatory.

Born in Grinnell on Jan. 15, 1890, he was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. McMurray. He attended Grinnell College, graduating in 1912. On June 30, 1920, he married Harriet Ray, also of Grinnell. The couple lived here until 1928, when they moved to Brooklyn. They moved to Des Moines in 1942, where they lived until 1965 when they moved to New Mexico.

Mr. McMurray was an employee of the Iowa State Auditing Department from 1933 until his retirement in 1964.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. A.L. McKay of Albuquerque; two sons, Robert of East Greenwich, R.I., and George of Ft. Collins, Colo.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
