Kellogg, Ia., April 19, Special:

Funeral services were held at the Christian church Sunday afternoon for Mrs. Emily Vinall, 85, who died at her home south of town Thursday afternoon, and burial was made in the family lot in Our Silent City.

Emily Vinall, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Vinall, was born in Lewis, Sussex county, England, May 19, 1850. At the age of 20 she came to this country and located at Davenport, where she was united in marriage to W.J. Vinall, November 19, 1872. Their early married life was spent on a farm near Davenport and in 1881 they moved to a farm seven miles southeast of Kellogg. Then after a residence of fifteen years there, they moved to the present home one mile south of town.

Four children were born to them, three of whom survive. Mr. Vinall died Oct. 9, 1905, and a daughter, Effie, March 28, 1926.

She united with the church early in life and had been a member and an active worker in the Christian church here for the past 54 years. She was also a member of the Newton Daily News Three Quarter Century club.

Surviving relatives include the three sons, Thomas of this place; John of Newton and Harry of Netherhill, Canada; seven grandchildren, Anson and Roy, students at State Teachers college, Arthur of Newton, Donald and Carl of Canada, and Jack and Wilma of this place.
