FUNERAL SERVICES ON FRIDAY FOR VIDA BOSSLER, 75

Funeral services for Mrs. Vida E. Bossler, 75, will be held at the Smith Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Bossler, a former resident of the Malcom rural community and widow of Charles E. Bossler, died Tuesday afternoon at an Oskaloosa hospital following a lengthy illness.

Officiating at the services will be the Rev. Donald Byrd, pastor of the United Presbyterian church. Organist will be Mrs. Kathleen Heffner. Pallbearers will be Don Baustian, Lotus Goodrich, Glen T. Hall, James Keller, Dan McConnell and Ross Spading. Interment will be in Ivy Hill cemetery at Malcom.

She was the daughter of Alfred and Mary Bartow Latcham and was born on Oct. 1st, 1885, near Montezuma. She received her education in the rural schools near her family home. For a time she was employed as a nurse in Des Moines.

United in marriage with Charles E. Bossler, they were the parents of one son, Raymond Leroy Bossler of Montezuma. They farmed in the Malcom area until their retirement and Mr. Bossler preceded her in death in March of 1952.

Mrs. Bossler is survived by her son; and two brothers, Carl E. Latcham of Montezuma and Orpheus A. Latcham of Milaca, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and two brothers, S.V. Latcham of Wilmar, Minn., and Ray Latcham of Montezuma.
