FERN B. OLSON

Fern B. Olson, 87, of Grinnell died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, at Friendship Manor.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Feb. 12, 2004, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Stewart, pastor, officiating. Orgnist will be Denise Baustian and soloist will be Milton Severe. Pallbearers will be John, Bob and Greg Sampson, Chuck and Gary Olson and Randy Reavis. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.

The daughter of John and Ellen Olson, she was born Oct. 14, 1916, in Poweshiek County. She was a 1932 graduate of Grinnell High School. She was employed at the Grinnell Glove Factory, Midwest Manufacturing of Kellogg, in the office of the late Dr. Ralph Brooker and at Heisel Realty. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Harmony Ladies Aid and Helpful Workers.

She is survived by one sister Mildred Sampson and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arthur and Raymond Olson and two sisters, Anetta Latcham and Evelyn Heisel.
