ADA HAMILTON CALLED BY DEATH, FUNERAL JULY 22

The angel of Death came to call Ada M. Hamilton from her earthly home on July 20. She was the youngest daughter of William and Margaret Stilwell, born April. 1, 1876, in Poweshiek county where her entire life was spent.

On Sept. 30, 1894, she was united in marriage with John W. Hamilton, to this union, four children were born: Edward, Grinnell; Raymond, who died at two years of age; Lester, Ewart; and Mae Farmer, who died in 1954. Besides her children, she is survived by a grandson, John Keith Hamilton; three great grandchildren, Matthew, Mary Ann and Michael, the children of Keith and Bonnie, other relatives and many friends.

She was a member of the Presbyterian church at Ewart. She loved her church and attended regularly as long as her health permitted. She was a life member of the Missionary Society.

She was a woman of sterling qualities, a loving mother and a sincere friend to everyone.

Funeral services were conducted at 2;30 p.m. July 22 in the Ewart Presbyterian church by the Rev. G. R. Dieken. Judy Stemsrud played the musical selections and accompanied Mary Lou Ladley and Pat Stanley as they sang "In the Garden" and "Beyond the Sunset."

Interment was in Pleasant cemetery, Ewart, under direction of the Steffy Funeral Home. Casket bearers were William Jeffrey, Craig Stanley, Carmon Johnson, Cliff Braley, Ronald Arnaman, Paul McConnell.
