MRS. FORSYTHE PASSES AWAY
Funeral services were held from the Methodist church this afternoon conducted by Rev. H.S. Wilkison, for Mrs S.C. Forsythe, who pssed away at her home, 207 Second avenue, at 1 o'clock Wednesday morning, aged 68 years and 25 days. Burial was in Hazelwood.
Before her marriage Mrs. Forsythe was Nannie Fox, daughter of Anderson M. and Elizabeth Bradshaw Fox. She was married to Mr. Forsythe 48 years ago.
She was a member of the Women's Relief Corps, Rebekahs, Royal Neighbors and Methodist church, and was active in the Primary Department of the Methodist Sunday School. She had been Noble Grand of the Rebekah lodge in Grinnell.
She is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. F.A. Preston of Newton, and a number of nephews and nieces, Leonard Quinn of Kellogg, Ben Raynolds of Grinnell, George Reynolds of Denver, Colo., Harry Reynolds of Winona, Minn., Albert Preston of Grand Forks, N.D., Harvey Preston of Marshalltown, Fred Fox and George Fox of Kansas City, Mrs. Nation of Newton, Mrs. Cecil Myers of Grinnell, Myrtle Preston of Newton and Doris Luscomb of Newton.
Two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Quinn and Mrs. Maggie Reynolds of Grinnell, and a brother, George Fox of Kansas City, preceded her in death.
