Mr. Pulis had been in business in Grinnell for the past 21 years. He had traveled for the Ford Motor Co. for several years prior to moving to Grinnell in 1938 to operate the Pulis-Johnson Motor Co. He continued as the local Ford-Mercury dealer for 17 years.

A prominent figure among Iowa automobile dealers, Mr. Pulis had served on the Board of Directors of the National Automobile Dealers Assn., as well as the Board of Directors of the Iowa Assn. He was active in Grinnell business affairs and had held posts on numerous committees of the Chamber of Commerce.

He was also a member of the Methodist church.

Born in Iowa Falls on June 7, 1900, he was the son of Judd and Harriett Pulis, and received his education in the Iowa Falls schools. On July 19, 1928, he was united in marriage with Virginia Hettler by the Rev. Brooks of the Grace Methodist church in Des Moines.

Preceding him in death were his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia; three brothers, Victor H. of Phoenix, Ariz., Ralph and George of Iowa Falls; and one sister, Mrs. Lola Huntington, also of Iowa Falls.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home with Dr. G.S. Bruland of the Grinnell Methodist church officiating. Vocal music will be furnished by Mrs. Alberta Miller, with Mrs. Kathleen Heffner at the organ.

Flower bearers will be Mrs. C.A. Frasier, Mrs. S. Dale Porter, and Mrs. Raymond Pilgrim. Pallbearers will be Austin Appleby, Don Cunningham, Raymond Pilgrim, and Harry Scott, all of Grinnell, and W.W. Johnson and W.Q. Johnson, both of Iowa Falls.

Burial will be in Union cemetery at Iowa Falls with graveside sevices at 2 p.m.
