DEATH CLAIMS WILL HORN, 99
William H. Horn, son of Henry and Harriett Horn, was born in York County, Pennsylvania, January 26, 1868 and departed from this life on February 6, 1967 at the Grinnell Community Hospital reaching the age of 99 years and 11 days. In 1871 the family moved to Deep River township, Deep River, Iowa, where he attended the schools in the community and grew to manhood in his parents' home. He also attended the Norton Normal and Scientific Academy at Wilton, Iowa, teaching school during the winter months. In 1897 he was united in marriage to Lila Belle Wood of Brooklyn. They resided on a farm in Deep River township until 1914 when the family moved to their present residence in Montezuma, Iowa.
Two children were born to this union: Geneva Venafrum Cutshall and Leona Geraldean Horn, both of Montezuma. After Mrs. Horn passed away his daughter Geraldean tenderly cared for her father in his home for 23 years. He is survived by his two daughters, four grandchildren, Marybelle Broadston of Montezuma; Hazel Allen of New Sharon; T. Sgt. Dale Cutshall now stationed at Lowry Air Force Base, Denver, Colorado and Marjorie Cutshall of Denver, Colorado; ten- great-grandchildren besides a host of friends.
