PEGGY LOUISE CRIDER
Peggy Louise Crider, 69, of Brooklyn died Wednesday, Jan. 11, at her home.
Memorial services were conducted Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Brooklyn, with the Revs. Charles Gannon and Joe Rogers officiating. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery, Brooklyn, with the Donohue-Lensing Funeral Service of Iowa City in charge of arrangements.
Memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Brooklyn Library Construction Fund and sent in care of the Poweshiek County Savings Bank.
The daughter of Herman and Mary Josephine Burrell Frank, she was born Oct. 7, 1925, in Chicago. She was married to Giles Edward Crider May 10, 1947, in Chicago.
A resident of Brooklyn since 1968, Mrs. Crider was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and Friends of the Library. She had received the Mother of the Year Award.
Surviving are her husband; three sons, Giles of San Francisco, Guy of Steamboat Springs, Colo., and Peter of Santa Fe, N.M.; two daughters, Mary Hutchinson of Arroyo Grande, Calif., and Susan Teuton of Steamboat Springs, Colo.; one brother, Herman Frank of Chicago; one sister, Mary Ann Gyongyos of Tapton, N.C.; and 11 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Christopher, and a daughter, Debra Ann.
