TO HOLD MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR FORMER GRINNELL RESIDENT

Memorial services for a former Grinnell resident, Emma Perry Beebe, who most recently had made her home in Pasadena, Calif., will be held at the Smith Funeral Home Wednesday, Jan. 2, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Leland Mann officiating.

She died in California on Jan. 4 at the age of more than 78 years and funeral services were held in Pasadena on Jan. 7.

A long-time resident of Grinnell, she grew to young womanhood in the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. George Hamlin, and was quite active in the social and religious life of the community.

She was a member of Chapter BM, P.E.O., the Grinnell Chapter of the D.A.R., and a charter member of the Levart Club. She was a member of the First Congregational church and for many years taught in the primary department of the church school.

She moved to Pasadena 12 years ago after 65 years of residence in Grinnell.
