MAN DIES IN MISHAP
Andrew N. Wilson, 64, the developer of Holiday Lake, was killed Thursday afternoon when the end-loader he was operating toppled off the edge of a road, rolled over, and crushed him.
Poweshiek County Sheriff Max Allen said the victim was dead at the scene of the mishap.
Mr. Wilson was born Nov. 29, 1908, in Laddonia, Mo.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred; one son, Donald of Belle Plaine; a daughter, Mrs. Carroll (Dolores) Gunerson of Marengo; six grandchildren; two brothers, George A. Wilson of Belle Plaine and Clyde of Missouri; and five sisters, Mrs. Goldie Merritt of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Cora Hicks of Montezuma, Mrs. Phoebe Rupp of Lynnville, Mrs. Sylvia Lippincott of Buffalo, Mo., and Mrs. Betty Luxford of Van Nuys, Calif.
Funeral services for Mr. Wilson were held at 10:30 a.m. today (June 18) at the Peffers-Halverson Funeral Home in Belle Plaine.
Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery.
