CHARLES DIMIT DIES IN HAWAII

Charles H. Dimit Jr., 57, formerly of Grinnell, died Friday, Oct. 8, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Funeral services were conducted on Oct. 11 in Honolulu.

He was the son of the late Charles (Spike) Dimit and Erma Dimit and was a retired serviceman.

He is survived by two brothers, Dennis of Fresno, Calif., and Jerry of Austin, Minn., and a sister, Donna Myers of Austin.

Searches of the SSDI through other engines return similar results, with minor variations. One engine gives his estimated age at death as 57 years, 5 months, another returns the latitude and longitude (!!), apparently of Honolulu, HI. All agree he died during December of 1982, in flat contradiction to the Grinnell Herald-Register's October 14th obituary.
