RITES HELD AT BROOKLYN FOR MRS. BEADLE
Funeral services were conducted at the Bramer Funeral Home in Brooklyn Sunday afternoon, November 16, for Mrs. Joan Beadle, 91, who died Friday, November 14, at a Montezuma rest home.
The Rev. Richard Menzel officiated. Burial was in the Kent Cemetery. Casket bearers were her nephews Dean and Dale Hawkins, Gene Willett, Stanley Walford, Raymond and Mike DePauw.
Mrs. Beadle was born in Poweshiek county July 14, 1878, the daughter of George and Katherine McLennan Brimmer. She was married to Walter Fred Beadle on Sept. 2, 1919. They lived in Waterloo a short time and near Chelsea and Belle Plaine. Mr. Beadle passed away in 1947.
She was a member of the Brooklyn Presbyterian Church and an accomplished musician, artist and sculptor.
Mrs. Ed Bartachek was the organist at the services. Mrs. Claude Shaffer was in charge of flowers.
Mrs. Beadle was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
