OBITUARY.

The remains of Mrs. S. Graham, formerly of Grinnell, arrived from Des Moines Wednesday morning, accompanied by Mr. Graham, their two sons and Mr. and Mrs. F.S. Treat. The body was received by the pall bearers, Messrs. R.G. Coutts, J.F. and Arthur Neely, T.H. Hays, T.H. Buchanan and T.R. Cessna and taken to the Methodist church. A quartet comsisting of Mrs. G.L. Spooner, Mrs. Arthur Pitman, Messrs. J.H. Patton and C.L. Gardner sang the selections. Rev. J.E. Corley and Presiding Elder Wilson conducted the services. Mrs. Graham was born in Pittsburg, Pa., in 1839, and brought up in the M.E. church, her parents being Methodists. They came to reside in Grinnell in 1869 and continued to reside here till about 1887, when they went to Des Moines. Their home, a new one not yet occupied, was blown away in the tornado and Mr. Graham built another.

Mrs. Graham joined the church here during the pastorate of Rev. Mr. Wilson to which fact the presiding elder alluded in his remarks. She was a true Christian in every relation. She leaves a husband and three children, Alvin, Milton and Mrs. F.S. Treat. One other died in childhood and is buried in Hazelwood cemetery. Her remains were interred beside this child in the family lot.
