Robt. W. Graham, aged 84 years, died at his Brooklyn home, Oct. 21. Deceased was born July 1, 1809 in Ireland. He was the son of Thos. Graham and Margaret Dun. Nov. 17 1840, he was married to Eliza J. Kearns and there were born to them twelve children, eleven of whom survive. Early in life he united with the Presbyterian church of which he has been a faithful member. He moved to Canada in 1832, locating near Smith's Falls, where he lived until the spring of 1869 when he came with his family to Brooklyn, Iowa, locating on a beautiful farm in Madison twp. Here they lived uninterruptedly for years or until about two years ago when they went to Minnesota residing with members of the family, returning to Brooklyn last spring. The cause of death was kidney trouble and malaria which for a number of days prior to his death caused him great suffering. Funeral services were conducted at the house Sabbath afternoon, Oct. 22, Dr. E. Benson officiating.
