MISS EMMA BOBZIN DIES ON SATURDAY; FUNERAL HELD TODAY

Miss Emma Bobzin, for 42 years a resident of Grinnell and a teacher for many years in the Grinnell schools, passed away in a local hospital Saturday morning as a result of a severe stroke suffered a few days before. For the past few months Miss Bobzin had been clerking in the E.R. Small jewelry store.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Leland W. Mann at the Congregational church this afternoon with burial in Our Silent City cemetery in Kellogg.

Miss Bobzin was born in Kellogg, the daughter of Henry and Sophia Buchmeier Bobzin, both deceased. She is survived by one sister, Ella Bobzin Craven. She began her long career as a teacher in the Kellogg schools and also taught in Baxter before coming to Grinnell. For a number of years she was principal of the junior high here and as a teacher she was conscientious and inspiring.

She was a member of the Congregational church, Chapter BM. P.E.O., and the Historical and Literary club.

She will be lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched in her long teaching career here.

At the funeral services this afternoon music was provided by Mrs. Rhee Auman, organist and E.H. Bohstedt, vocalist. Mrs. Charles Hink and Mrs. E.R. Small were in charge of flowers. Pall bearers were M.E. Copley, T.T. Cranny, Dr. Frederick Drown, Charles Hink, Arthur Robison and L.O. Wilson.
