AN OBITUARY OF MRS. M. FLANAGAN

Mrs. Elizabeth Marie Flanagan, wife of M.W. Flanagan, who passed away April 29, at 9:40 p.m., was born in Rock Creek township Jan. 17, 1868, the daughter of John and Elizabeth Hotchkin. She was married to M.W. Flanagan in Grinnell on Oct. 26, *1898. To this union five children were born, all of whom survive, as follows: Mrs. Marie Donohoe, Mrs. Rose Comerford, and Martha, William and Ann, all of Grinnell.

Mrs. Flanagan was a member of a family of eight children, six of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by one brother, James Hotchkin, her husband, and children.

Mrs. Flanagan was a lovely woman, the center of a singularly happy home. She will be greatly missed in the sphere which she made so peculiarly her own. She was helpful and devoted in her church work and will be greatly missed in the circles in which she has been known and loved for so many years.
