RAYMOND E. SORENSEN

Raymond E. Sorensen, 79, of Winterset, formerly of Grinnell, died of pneumonia Thursday, Nov. 29, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, with burial Monday morning in Oakwood Cemetery, Plymouth.

A Winterset resident for 23 years, Mr. Sorensen was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Iowa Hereford Association, the University of Northern Iowa Alumni Association and Waveland Park Masonic Lodge in Des Moines.

Surviving are his wife, Willa; two sons, Ray E. of Marysville, Mo., and Jon H. of Denver, Colo.; three daughters, Karen Snider of Malibu, Calif., Sonja Craig of St. Cloud, Minn., and Kirsten Sorensen of Lake Bluff, Ill.; three sisters, Lenore Clifford of Mason City, Evelyn Harknor of Waverly and Royce Ellis of Shelby, N.C.; and nine grandchildren.
