MRS. PRINGLE RITES ARE HELD

Eleanor Pringle, 87, of Grinnell died Wednesday, Jan. 11, at St. Francis Manor in Grinnell.

Graveside services were conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at God's Acres Cemetery in Clermont, Iowa, with the Rev. Donald Loots, pastor of the West Clermont Lutheran Church, officiating. The Smith Funeral Home of Grinnell was in charge of arrangements.

She was the daughter of Bert and Luticia Shaw Gruver and was born April 21, 1901, at Buffalo Center. The family moved to Clermont where she attended school.

She was married to Clifton Pringle, July 7, 1977, at Nashua. Mr. and Mrs. Pringle owned and operated Pringles Place in Clermont for over 50 years. Following the death of her husband in 1977, she moved to Rockford, Iowa. She came to Grinnell in December 1983.

Mrs. Pringle was a member of the Business and Professional Women of Clermont.

She is survived by two sisters, Vera Webb of Grinnell and Mable Turner of Rockford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and four brothers, John, Walter, Cecil and Bert Gruver.
