--Madison DeCamp was born in Pennsylvania January 30th, 1821. In 1845 he came to Iowa and located in Scott county near Davenport from which place he moved to Grinnell in 1878. He died, while visiting in Oklahoma City, June 10th, aged 83, and was buried in Grinnell June 14th. The funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Moore, and were attended by a large circle of friends, which bears witness to the high esteem in which he was held, the services being conducted by Rev. S. Rowland Robinson of the Baptist church. Mr. DeCamp leaves to mourn his death, one son and one daughter who live in this city, also eight grandchildren to whom the community offers sympathy in their hour of bereavement.
