BALDWIN

On Tuesday, March 25th, at two in the afternoon occurred the death of Mrs. Mary Jane (Storm) Baldwin, after a brief sickness of only fifteen days.

Mrs. Baldwin was born on April 27th, 1838, in Franklin county, New York. In the year of 1872 she came to the state of Iowa where she met Mr. I.B. Baldwin and their marriage occurred on the fifth day of December in the same year. Since that time they have lived mostly in this county and for the past eleven years they have made their home in Grinnell.

Mrs. Baldwin united with the Baptist church while living in the east and has been connected with that church for more than forty years. She was also an active worker in the Ladies' Relief Corps, being the wife of a soldier.

"Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, that they may rest from their labors; and their works do follow them."

The funeral was held from the home Thursday, March 27, at one o'clock, conducted by the Rev. S. Rowland Robinson.
