G. ROGER ALLEY DIES IN AMES

G. Roger Alley, 80, of Ames, a former Grinnellian, died Monday at an Ames hospital.

Funeral services for Mr. Alley were held at 1:30 p.m. today at the United Church of Christ-Congregational in Ames. Graveside services were set for 3 p.m. at Resthaven Cemetery, Des Moines.

A 1921 graduate of Grinnell College, Mr. Alley was chairman of the First National Bank in Ames and was a past president of the bank. He also served as chairman of the board of the Ames National Corp. and was city treasurer of Ames for four terms.

He is survived by his wife, Mabel Barber Alley, a 1919 graduate of Grinnell College, and sister, Bertha Smith of the Mayflower Home.
