DAVID LEWIS IS BURIED MONDAY

David Lewis, long time resident of Grinnell and old soldier, passed away last Saturday at his home on Harrison avenue, where he lived with his nephew, Ray Lewis, and wife, aged 89 years, 9 months and 10 days. Mr. Lewis was born in Kentucky Feb. 29, 1844. His wife preceded him in death thirteen years ago.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon from the Snyder Brothers Chapel, conducted by Rev. Robert Lincoln. Burial was in Rock Creek cemetery. Members of the American Legion acted as pall bearers.
