BLANCHE HOWELL SERVICES HELD

Blanche Irene Howell, 77, of Anacortes, Wash., died July 3 following a stroke.

Funeral services were held July 5, with the Rev. Norman Scruton officiating. Music was provided by Merril Womach. Pallbearers were Max Knauss, Kenneth P. Howell, William Beale, and Charles Howell. Burial was in Washington.

She was born Jan. 2, 1900. She attended school at Richland and was graduated from Grinnell High School. She taught in the Grinnell area. Following her retirement she lived on the family farm.

After selling the farm, she moved to Washington with her nephew, Kenneth.

She was preceded in death by her parents, *Alpha and Eva.
