OBITUARY
NELSE CROWNSEANelse Pierson Crownsea, only son of Peter and Magdalena Jonason was born in Malmo, Sweden, Jan. 22, 1864 and passed away in a local hospital after a year's illness having reached the age of 87 years and 6 months.
He came to America when a young man and located in Kellogg where in 1897 he was married to Josephine Faircloth. To this union was born one *son, who passed away several years ago. Mr. Crownsea was confirmed in the Lutheran church when a boy in Malmo, Sweden. He had made his home in and around Grinnell for the last 40 years.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife and a number of nieces and nephews. He was laid to rest beside his son in the Silent City (cemetery) at Kellogg. Services were conducted from the James funeral home by Prof. J.D. Stoops. The pallbearers were Bert Whitaker, Clarence Decatur, Howard Sage, Clair Strand, Edd Phillips and Robt. Breiting.
