OLE TOKLE SERVICES DEC. 31 AT GRINNELL, BURIAL AT EWART

Ole B. Tokle, 65, of Rt. 1 Grinnell, passed away Thursday, December 26, at Phoenix, Ariz.

The son of Bert and Caroline Anderson Tokle, he was born on Jan. 20, 1903, near Grinnell. He attended the rural and local schools of the community and attended two years at the state university at Ames.

On June 2, 1928, he was united in marriage to Leona Cox at Oskaloosa. They farmed in the Grinnell and Blue Point communities until he retired two years ago due to ill health. For the past seven winters they have lived in Phoenix, Ariz.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Grinnell, the Farm Bureau and the Ewart Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; his father, Bert of Story City; a sister Annetta Johnson of Modesto, Calif.; his brother, Carl Tokle of Grinnell, and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother in 1948 and a sister Anna in 1920.

Funeral services for Mr. Tokle were held Tuesday afternoon, December 31, at the James-Schalinske Funeral Home, Grinnell, with the Rev. Ronald Rain and the Rev. Martin Gruneich officiating. Interment was at the Ewart Cemetery. The organist was Kathleen Heffner. Serving on the Flower Committee were Mrs. Delmar Stewart and Mrs. Carl Boget. Pallbearers were Thomas Lowery, Delmar Stewart, Alfred Steen, Russell Winburn, Carl Boget and John L. Ahrens.
