EDWARD JONES, OLD RESIDENT, IS DEAD

Edward Jones, an old resident of Grinnell, passed away this morning at 2:45 A.M., at the Community hospital. Mr. Jones fractured his hip by falling several weeks ago, and this coupled with pneumonia hastened his death.

Mr. Jones was one of the old-timers in Grinnell, being at the advanced age of 89 years. He has been living at 702 East street with his nephew, Charles Jones, who is the only immediate relative in Grinnell.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon either at the Congregational church or at the Mellott chapel. Rev. E.W. Cross will conduct the services.
