MRS. SCHLESSELMAN RITES HELD AT VICTOR

Funeral services for Mrs. William (Esther) Schlesselman were conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, in St. James Lutheran Church at Victor with burial at the IOOF Cemetery there.

Pallbearers were Harry Healey, Don Peska, Joe Van Quekelberghe, Alfred Danovski, Rudy Meyer and Leonard De Kesel.

Mrs. Schlesselman, 72, passed away at her Victor home from a heart attack on Sunday, May 10.

The daughter of Frank and Martha (Norris) Veverka, she was born near Brooklyn on April 26, 1898. She attended a rural school and the Montezuma public school.

On July 1, 1915, she married William Schlesselman and to this union three children were born. They farmed until moving to Victor in 1940.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society of St. James church.

Survivors include her husband, William; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Davis of Minneapolis and Mrs. Julian (Thelma) Van Zele of Moline, Ill.; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Allie Mulhern of Mason City; and a brother, Raymond of Wabash, Ind.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Violet; a sister; and five brothers.
